Scotland

Monday, January 31st, 2005

Had my second treatment last thursday.
It was painfull, but it helped.

Had a long trip back home. My flight was delayed about 4 hours,
so I ended up arriving at home around 6am.

Slept most of the day on friday.
On saturday did some shopping with Kathrin and still felt great, despite the cold.
Had dinner with friends and even went out clubbing.

I still felt great sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon the ‘itching’ came back full blown
and shortly after that my belly was hurting again.
It felt like concrete.

Today I had weak legs again.

Will go back to scotland soon.

Gear Live | Why Apple Makes a One Buttoned Mouse

I always wondered why they still ship one button mice,
even though I knew that they support multiple buttons.

Today

Wednesday, January 26th, 2005

Spent the day at a local internet cafe.
Don’t feel really bad, but don’t feel that good either.
I guess walking around town all day yesterday didn’t help improve my state
and left me a bit exhausted.

Sitting in the hostel right now.
Just wasting time.

Will have one more session with Bill tomorrow,
before I go back home.

Earlier I said that I don’t feel any better yet.

I definitly don’t feel any worse.
I walked through Edinburgh the whole afternoon (3-5 hours) and still feel ok.

I guess I already have more energy than yesterday.

Edinburgh

Tuesday, January 25th, 2005

I arrived in Edinburgh earlythis morning … around 1am.
The trip was OK. The only problem was that I had bustickets from the wrong “Glasgow International Airport”.
Well, I took the train and managed to get here.

Today I had my first session with Bill.
Can’t say if I feel better yet, but he definitly pushed the right spots.
And it seemed like he really understands the problem.

I’ll keep you posted.

I know.
I know.

Updates are coming slow.

Last week I got the results from the food “incompatibility” test.

Milk is very bad.
Inlcuding cheese, yoguhrt and anything else made from cheese.

Tuna fish is also bad.

Agar-Agar is another thing I should avoid.

Other than that there was only stuff that I don’t eat anyway.
Lobster … clams …

My dentist started to remove the amalgam fillings last week.
There is only one left (on the lower left)
and the metallic tast was gone immediatly.

On thursday evening my throat swell shut again.
And this time it was visible from the outside.

I’m leaving for Edinburgh later today.
Got two appointments with a physiotherapist this week.

I’ll tell you about the results later…

People everywhere are complaining that the Mac Mini would make the perfect “set top box” or “home media center”
if it only had a video/tv capture card.

I just don’t get it.

You got this really cute video playing device and a broadband connection.
When will you actually watch TV ?

Just download the stuff (legally) from the web. iMovies anyone ?

Oh, you want to capture your selfmade videos ?
Hmmm … put one end of a FireWire cable into your cam and the other into the Mac Mini.
Any problem ?

Stop complaining.

The only thing really missing for this thing is a big harddisk…
… wait a minute. That’s connected to the WiFi-Broadband-DSL-Router-Printer-Server anyway.

Now I only need a cute little (bluetooth) iRemote.

News for you ;)

Went to a Chakra Therapist on Tuesday.
My 1st and 2nd Chakra are without energy.

I know this seems to be going more and more esoterik,
but this is the stuff that seems to help the most.

She told me it will be a lot of hard work to fix that.
And I believe her.
This time she just slightly put her hand on my back
and all I wanted to do is jump of the table and run away.
I didn’t, but after a while I started to cry.

Still don’t have the results from the food test…

One of my docs had an old friend there this week, who is already pensioner.
He looked at me and told me that the root of the whole problem might be:
amalgam
(It’s used for fillings and 50% quicksilver).
We’re gonna check that next monday.

Other doc had the results of the food screening.
I had very high intolerance against something in the “base” group,
so we decided to have a detailed report done.

Today I visited a dentist (specialized in removing amalgam).
Made some X-Rays. He will make a plan.

On monday the replacement doing the Myoreflex, while my practioner is on vacation,
told me that she won’t take my money anymore since she doesn’t believe it will help.
:(

But she gave me the adress of a friend who might.

The Scotland tripis planned.

So all in all I hope to be much better in 2 or 3 weeks from now.

Mac Mini

Thursday, January 13th, 2005

I just ordered mine yesterday.

It was just to hard to resist.
I’ve been waiting for a sub $500 Mac for a few years now.
The Mac Mini is slightly above that, but who cares ;)

Should be here in two weeks…

I’ve been on vacation for the last two weeks,
so I haven’t always been close to my computer.

I had a pretty good week following x-mas.
Still aching, but no (major) pain.

Last week I visited the local “tropical hospital”.
They took some samples and if they find anything I’ll know it in about 6 weeks.

On new years day it started to get bad again,
but I had a Myoreflex Therapie on tuesday… and that helped.

I visited my family on thursday and saw a Doctor in Düsseldorf.
After I told him which medication I got
he told me that I had to have digestion problems.
He prescribed some medicine to help get my stomach and intestines back on track.

At the end he asked if I ever was checked for a yeast infection and I gave him the test results
from my (ex-)doctor. He looked at it and told me that I hd a very high number in the yeast test.
So much for “everything alright”.
He got some samples and will have an additional test done.
Might take a week or two…

Got an appointment with a physiotherapist … in scotland…
I’ve been told he can help.

Will be back to work next week, so you’ll get more updates again.
