Finally someone decided to clean up the pile of junk:
Inside Firefox - The Inside Track on Firefox Development
Don’t get me wrong.
Firefox is great, but the Prefs dialog is almost unusable…
Just in case I’ll ever have to recover a password from an old mozilla/firefox/firebird/phoenix file.
Mozilla does support data URIs.
Just strip the leading “~” and the trailing “==” from the login and password
and you have base64 encoded data.
Let Mozilla decode it:
Enter
data:;base64,WhAtEvEr
in the location bar and hit enter.
An lwn.net article pointed me to
Tomboy.
Looks like it might solve all that problems with .txt being scattered all over my disk.
And when I need something I don’t find it.
Just compiled and installed 0.2.2. No ebuild yet
I’ll give it a try and let you know … in a while.
Dropped for now.
